This is a very old quote. It’s an old testament verse, found in Acts of the Apostles chapter 4, speaking about Christian unity. The words are said to be the last words of St. John the Baptist.
It was later used as a battle cry for his disciples to stick together as one Christian army against Roman persecution. After this battle cry, St. Paul said Christians should have one Lord, one faith and one baptism.
The way to unity is through love and respect for each other’s differences, not through forcing people to agree with you or do what you want them to do.
